Ann McCluskey

Originally from Dublin but living in Celbridge for almost 40 years, Ann became interested in art and started painting around 1991. Her first paintings were of landscapes and fields, sometimes featuring an old fence. The medium she used at that time was poster paint. She was introduced to watercolours when she began going to art classes with Susan Carr and later to acrylics and pastels with Sharon Dunne.

Ann tends to paint whatever catches her eye in her immediate environment and while her preferred medium is watercolour she’s interested in developing her pencil drawing skills and in using pen and ink.
Ann has been a member of the Abbey Art Group for the past 5 years and enjoys their weekly painting sessions and regular demonstrations given by members of the group.
